Cute Cosy Colouring is responsible for the personal information we use to answer enquiries, support our downloads and run the Cosy Colouring Club. This notice explains those uses and the services involved.
Information we use and why
Visiting this website
Netlify hosts the website and processes technical request information, such as your IP address, browser details, pages requested and request times, to deliver pages and protect the service. Our legitimate interests are operating a reliable website and preventing misuse. We have not added advertising pixels, visitor analytics scripts or social-media tracking. Search and format filters work in your browser.
Email enquiries and download support
If you email hello@cutecosycolouring.com, we receive your email address, any name you give, your message and attachments. Namecheap Private Email provides the mailbox. We use this information to reply and resolve your enquiry, relying on our legitimate interests in helping customers. Where a request concerns a purchase or a possible purchase, we also use the information to fulfil that contract or take steps you request before it. Please send only the information needed to explain the issue.
The Cosy Colouring Club
Joining is optional. Our link opens a MailerLite form asking for your email and your consent to new-book announcements, occasional free printables and colouring news. You confirm through a link sent to your inbox. MailerLite holds the address, consent and confirmation records, subscription status and related technical information. We rely on your consent to send club emails. A purchase or free download does not automatically enrol you in this club.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a club email or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful use. MailerLite records delivery, bounce and unsubscribe information. Depending on the settings used for an email, its reporting can also include opens and link clicks through tracking pixels and tracked links; its privacy notice explains these technologies.
Buying or downloading a book
PDF orders and free downloads take place on Payhip. Payhip makes customer and order information available to us, such as the purchaser’s email, product, order reference and transaction details, so we can provide the download, help with problems and keep required business records. We rely on contract, applicable legal obligations and our legitimate interests in resolving disputes. Payment providers handle card details; this website does not collect them. Amazon handles paperback orders under its own account and order processes.
Services and sharing
We use Netlify for website hosting, Namecheap Private Email for correspondence, MailerLite for club subscriptions and emails, and Payhip for PDF orders and delivery. These providers and their service partners process information needed for their roles. We may also provide relevant records to an adviser or authority where necessary to meet a legal obligation or handle a claim. We do not sell our mailing list.
Read Netlify’s privacy information, Namecheap’s privacy information, MailerLite’s privacy information and Payhip’s privacy information. Amazon and payment providers publish their own notices on their services.
Where information is processed
Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in Europe and the United States. Their arrangements include recognised adequacy mechanisms where applicable and contractual safeguards for other restricted transfers. Netlify’s data-processing agreement describes its UK-US Data Privacy Framework and contractual arrangements; MailerLite’s data-processing agreement includes standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum. Namecheap describes its international processing in its privacy notice. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
- Club subscriptions: while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we retain only the consent or suppression records needed to respect your choice and address any complaint about past emails.
- Enquiries: while needed to resolve your question and any related follow-up or dispute. Once those purposes have ended, and no legal reason requires retention, we delete the correspondence.
- Order and accounting records: for the period required by applicable tax and accounting duties and while needed for a related claim. This depends on the record and the obligation involved.
- Provider logs and backups: according to the provider’s operational, security and legal retention arrangements. Their notices explain these separately; we do not promise an immediate deletion from all backups.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to use based on legitimate interests and stop direct marketing at any time. Email hello@cutecosycolouring.com or write to the address above. We may need to check your identity before releasing information. We respond within the time required by data-protection law and explain any applicable exception.
We do not use your information for solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects. You do not have to join the club or provide enquiry details to browse; we need an email address to send club emails or an email reply.
You can complain to us using the contact details above, or to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time. We update this notice when our services or uses of information change.
